RICARDO Z PROGENY WIN AGAIN!
David Richard won the first Pre-Novice division on Kim O'Gorman's Ricardo Z mare 'Leicklin Miss Z' who, on her third outing led from start to finish to complete on a dressage score of 30.5 penalties. This mare has done some show jumping and was hunted all last season by Padraig English. 'Leicklin Miss Z' is out of the Kildalton Gold mare 'Legal Diamond'.
In the second section of Pre-Novices, first place went to another Kedrah House Stud's Zangersheide stallion Ricardo Z, this time the six-year-old 'Dargle Ka Ching', ridden for Jodie Ronan by Melanie Ashe who completed on a winning dressage mark of 29.0 penalties.This Ricardo Z six-year-old was bred by Linda courtney out of 'Sperrin Mist', who she jumped to grade C before selling this 1993 Diamond Lad mare to Italy.

'RICARDO Z' DOES IT AGAIN!
'FENYA'S ELEGANCE' by 'RICARDO Z' wins the Four-year-old Future Event Horse at Tattersalls on Saturday 13th September. This outstanding mare is owned and bred by P.J Hegarty and ridden by Rosemary Connors.
'RICANGA' also by 'RICARDO Z' Was overall winner of the five-year-olds. Owned and ridden by Lucie Hanaghan.

'RICARDO Z' Mare, 'RICANGA' owned, part-bred and ridden by Lucie Hanaghan from Newport, Co. Mayo deservedly wins the 5-year-old League at Dollanstown Stud, Kilcock, Co. Kildare. This 'Ricardo Z' bred mare is always at the top end of the dressage scoreboard after a flighty start at Fourth Mountain and has been consistantly placed in all the following qualifiers. This mare heads for an eventing career in 2009. The FEHL Finals run this saturday 13th September at Tattersalls.

KHS STALLIONS ARE SUPREME AT RDS 2008
The stallion 'LUX Z' represented by his first crop of 4yo sons and daughters having won three of the four qualifiers to get to Dublin and with total of eleven of his progeny being represented in the very prestigious Horse Sport Ireland Sponsored Mr Springfield 4yo Championship, it was no surprise that the winners of the first qualifiers at the famous Simmers Court arena would come from this 'LUX Z' eleven. The Jim O'Neil bred 'LUX Z' son 'CASTLEFIELD MAXIMUS'impressed the judges so much that he won by a margin of ten points with two 'LUX Z' taking up the minor placings.

The second division of this championship took place on friday and this son of 'LUX Z' equally impressed by winning again and leading the charge of two 'LUX Z' and one 'COURAGE' to represent Kedrah House Stud in this final on saturday morning.

'LUX Z' dominance at the show was further copper fastened on wednesday when the 3yo son bred by Ann Redmond won the inaugural Future Competition Horse (class 61) and took the Royal Dublin Society Perpetual Challenge Trophy.
This young 'LUX Z' superstar was purchased by Kedrah House Stud for the present owner William Shanahan from his breeder Ann Redmond, Kedrah House Stud also advised Ann Redmond on the purchase and stallion selection of this lovely 'Paris Light' mare.

On wednesday evening a son of 'LUX Z', 'SCOTT FREE', ridden by Andrew Bourns was leading the very popular 4yo Young Event Horse Championship going into the the final stage in the main arena. One fence denied this fantastic moving son of 'LUX Z' out of a 'CAVALIER' mare, from taking the red rosette and had to settle for 3rd place in this prestigious class.

Maurice Cousins 'LUX Z' 4yo was second in the Showing Ring in the 4yo Heavy Weight Class with his lovely looking son of 'LUX Z'.

Katy Murphy, bred and showed the showed the lovely 'LUX Z' filly 'LUCY LUX' to obtain 2nd place in the 3yo Filly Class. This filly looks destined to have a big future possible in the eventing field if she is to follow in the footsteps of her sisters.

'RICARDO Z' bred two Supreme Hunter Champions.
It is nearly impossible to follow the achievements of 'RICARDO Z' progeny at the RDS not to mention worldwide. With four of his progeny represented in the 5yo Young Event Horse Class and his Stud was also represented by the stallion 'COURAGE' who's daughter finished 2nd just being pipped for the red rosette.

In the 4yo Young Event Horse Class 'FENYAS ELEGANCE' by 'RICARDO Z' owned and bred by P.J Hegarty was well placed in this class but went on the day after to win the 4yo Light Weight Hunter Mares Class and goes on for the Championship on saturday morning. This filly who was All Ireland Foal Champion has a host of red rosettes won during her illustrious career.

'LORENZO' by 'RICARDO Z' won the older Light Weight Horses Class and goes on to contest the championship on saturday.

'DOUBLE TAKE' by 'RICARDO Z' was 2nd in the Light Weight Ridden Class and again goes forward to the Championship on saturday.

Maurice Cousins was back in the show ring with his 4yo Light Weight Gelding by 'RICARDO Z' to take 3rd place in this prestigious class.

'COURAGE' who was the sire of the 2007 4yo Jumping champion is well represented with one 'COURAGE' in this years final of six with two 'LUX Z' stars making up 50% of this saturday mornings final by Kedrah House Stud Stallions. 'COURAGE' also had the 3yo Show Winner, recently bought for the present owner by John O'Brien of Tallow.

The Kedrah House Stud Stallion 'WELL CHOSEN' a TB son of 'SADLERS WELLS' was represented by the Balmoral winning filly bred by Billy Smith of N.I He also had the numerous winning son shown in the 3yo class by P.J. Hegarty.

HUNTER SUCCESS FOR RICARDO Z.
Debbie Godber's chestnut gelding 'Rockefeller' who was contesting his first HOYS qualifier, has made an incredible start to his debut affiliated season. By 'Ricardo Z' out of 'Licnaun Olive' - a premium Irish draught mare bred by Christy O' Grady, Ennis. This five-year-old stood Champion at area 4B and novice reserve at Windsor. He was bought as a foal, but left to mature because of his size and was unbeaten in six local outings last summer.
